BLOSSOMING REVOLUTION AND CURRENT APPROACHES IN PHARMA

As biology and technology have become even more closely interlinked, the new opening is appearing to enhance healthcare through the use of innovative digital technologies. Here are some digital health innovations that are about to have an impact on the pharma industry.

3D printing

3D printing technique allows the pill to deliver a higher dose of medicine ( up to 1000 mg ). These attributes can be particularly beneficial for the patients who have difficulty in swallowing their medication, which can affect adherence to treatment regimens.

Nanotechnology

Nanotechnology refers to microscopic technology conducted at the nanoscale, which is about 1 to 100 nanometers. Nanotechnology is advancing very quickly and researchers are now developing a nanomaterial which can track when patients uptake their medication to encourage increased adherence. The consumed particles will send signals to reveal that the medication has been taken and the information is then fed back to the physician and the patient through a mobile app.
Medical researchers are also exploring the potential to use microscopic robots called nanobots, which can be pre-programmed to execute the given tasks inside the human body. Nanobots are consumed in the form of pills or injection could even seek out and destroy cancer cells or function surgical tasks internally.

Don’t Miss Out: To know more about the most recent research advances, and the latest updates in Pharma industry check out Pharma Conference 2018.

Gulf Congress on Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences” scheduled on September 17-18, 2018 Abu Dhabi, UAE is a good platform to discuss the innovative researches and developments in the Pharmaceutical Science.
